Designed by renowned artist Oiva Toikka and crafted by iittala master glass blowers exclusively for this special event, the Northern Parula is proudly named the FinnFest 2013 bird. The design was inspired by a spotting of the small warbler at the site of this year's FinnFest in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Formerly named the Blue Yellow-backed Warbler, Toikka's impeccable interpretation of the sweet songbird captures these dreamy colors with finesse. A heavenly blue tail fades effortlessly into creamy white wings, and a warm golden breast boasts as the prominent feature of the piece. A straight beak and rounded head stay true to its living counterpart's curious and playful pose. With only 250 produced, each mouth-blown piece will be hand-etched with a "FinnFest 2013 O. Toikka Nuutajvi" signature to remind you of its special origin and authenticity.
